As we’ve heard rumored several other times, Samsung’s supposedly adding a 200MP main camera to the Galaxy S23 Ultra. However, the default resolution for photos according to Ice Universe will be 12MP, rather than 12.5MP like other 200MP phones. It’s common for large sensors to use ‘pixel-binning’ to take high resltuoon photos and render them down into a more manageable size, by allowing the sensor to combine its pixels together and capture more light for improved brightness and color....

A leak from tipster Evan Blass (opens in new tab) on Twitter revealed that the Galaxy S23 Ultra S Pen will come in Cream, Green, Lavender and Phantom Black. The color of the stylus tends to match the colors of the phone itself, so it’s a pretty safe bet that the the S23 Ultra will be available in Cream, Green, Lavender and Phantom Black, too — assuming Blass is correct about the S Pen colors....

Per leaker OreXda (opens in new tab), there will be a vapor chamber (a flat copper “pipe” filled with liquid that helps heat transfer more effectively) on the Galaxy S23 Ultra model, while the Galaxy S23 Plus will use a standard copper heat pipe with no vapor element. Meanwhile, the vanilla Galaxy S23 wouldn’t get either of these. This is the same arrangement of cooling tech we saw on the Galaxy S22 series, with the base model having no special cooling solution, the Galaxy S22 Plus having a heatpipe running down the spine of the phone, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra using a vapor chamber....

Display expert and leaker Ross Young (opens in new tab) recently tweeted that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will be blessed with at least a 2-inch outer screen, rather than the current 1.9-inch one on the Galaxy Z Flip 3. Young doesn’t give us a specific measurement unfortunately, so we can’t tell how big a difference this size increase will actually make for now. The outer display of the current Galaxy Z Flip 3 isn’t meant to be a fully usable method of controlling your phone, as it is on the Galaxy Z Fold 3, but a notifications window that can act as a camera viewfinder or let you access media controls....

But when it comes to phones, its appeal is distinctly reduced if it can’t be easily stored. The Note series allowed for the stylus to be docked in the phone for charging — a feat set to be repeated with the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra — but for the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 3 it was an awkward extra. While Samsung has proved that this problem can be overcome with traditional phones, foldables are trickier, as making one of the halves wide enough to hold an S Pen would add a great deal of heft to a product line that’s already renowned for being chunky....
